Labor Day and back to school events will likely occupy your mind as the month begins. As will Venus ending her retrograde, while Jupiter begins its. Our new moon will occur in the sign of Virgo while the full moon is in the sign of Aries, at the very end of the month. The ruler of the new moon, Mercury, ends its retrograde on the same day as the new moon. We are also entering into eclipse season energy. 6 weeks ahead of the eclipses is a potent time energetically. You may experience the energy outlined below a few days before or a few days after the actual date. Use this as a guide.
September 1st – Rabbit Rabbit! Always good to start off with a bit of good luck as we begin a new month. The energy is going to feel just a bit off as Mars and Saturn are what we call quincunx, or inconjunct one another. This energy can cause misunderstandings and accidents. Mars is in Libra a sign that requires balance. Saturn is in emotional Pisces, and trying to exert some control. Could be a time where we see a bit of hurricane action here in the United States. In part, because the Moon in Aries also opposes Mars in Libra. This could also cause relationship battles.
September 3rd – what have you learned from the Venus retrograde that began July 23rd? You have until early October 6th to fully implement what you learned. This is when Venus returns to the point where the retrograde began. As Venus slows down to make the turn the planet sends sparks flying. If you don’t want to get burned, pay attention to what is showing up for you now. Leo energy is all about fire, passion and fun. Did you find yours?
September 4th – Jupiter is conjunct with the Moon in Taurus at 15 degrees, as it slows down to go retrograde. That means your feelings, your intuition, maybe even women, play a big role from now until the end of the year!! The retrograde doesn’t end until December 30th! If you are new to reading these articles, then it is important to note that Mercury already went retrograde in April/May over almost these exact same degrees. Something about that time is now coming up again for a much deeper review. Jupiter is the planet of growth and expansion. It rules foreign things, as in places, or even topics that are foreign to us. It asks you to go deep and explore the unknown, that you connect to spirit and let it guide you. Mercury is at 15 degrees of Virgo, in retrograde again, and also exactly trine to Jupiter as it begins its review. There are no coincidences in astrology. A message is being shared and Jupiter is going to take the information and go big with whatever this is. Take a close look at the houses being activated for you during this long transit. They will be experiencing major shifts. Last time Jupiter was here was in 2011, there may be some clues for you there.
September 6th – Mercury is Cazimi, conjunct the Sun at 13 degrees of the sign of Virgo, while still speaking in harmony with Jupiter. This is a cleansing of the planet, and of your thoughts. Best case scenario you get a good body cleansing and your mind is put right again. Worst case scenario is your control issues are exposed for all to see, and you have to work hard to fix them. The heavy earth energy will at least help you to stay grounded, but maybe more so than you want. This is not a time for rushing into or, out of anything. You can be given a blessing for learning your lessons, and this can create a whole new way of being and thinking. Be open to growth and change.
September 8th – that contact between the Sun and Jupiter becomes exact as they meet in a trine at 15 degrees of Virgo and Taurus. This is the midway point for the Sun, a time to pause and see how well you are doing with being successful with your Virgo goals. Jupiter is expanding on those goals and willing to help you be an even bigger success, if you are willing and open to learning something bigger than you could have ever imagined. This can end up being a very rewarding experience.
September 11th – old wounds may resurface about 9/11 as the Sun in Virgo meets at an odd angle with Chiron, retrograde in the sign of Aries. There could be old wounds that surface that you thought you had fully healed. But triggers are important so that we see what we have buried, but not actually released, or healed. You have a chance to do the work today, once and for all. With the Moon sitting next to Venus in the sign of Leo, passions are likely to be running fairly high.
September 14th – the new moon in Virgo happens at 21 degrees of the sign around 6 pm PDT. This is a reset of the facts and details, perhaps related to health, especially since Mercury ends its retrograde at the same time. Virgo is the 6th sign of the zodiac, an earth sign, and the energy is what we call mutable, changeable. This is a sign known for its healing qualities. Not with traditional medicine, but think medicine woman. Things like energy healing with crystals, essential oils, reiki healing. Eating a healthy diet, such as with lots of fruits and vegetables nourished by the earth. Mercury rules the sign, and loves to help you have lots of attention to details and organization. Helping you zero in is the fact the Sun and Moon are making a trine to Uranus, which will help you electrify your mind. Things could get a bit crazy, but only because a shock to the system may be just what you need to make this new start happen. Neptune will be opposing the new moon, causing some confusion. September 16th – the square between Venus and Jupiter is exact, with both at 15 degrees. Something about love and/or money needs to be changed in your life. This is likely the lesson you were meant to learn during the Venus retrograde. Now that the planet is moving ahead it is time to apply the lessons learned. Jupiter will make the issue hard to ignore or deny. Emotions are impacted with the Moon making an odd angle to Jupiter and sextile to Venus. But whatever it is, even if it’s hard to do, must be done. You will have a few days to do the work as well.
September 17th – 20th – a series of inconjuncts takes place and things might get a little weird. First the Sun is inconjunct the North Node at 25 degrees of Aries. You might realize something about yourself in an unexpected way. Then the Sun opposes Neptune, and things get really confusing. All the while Mars will be inconjunct to Jupiter from the sign of Libra, which can make our relationships just feel off. By the 20th, the Sun makes a positive connection to Pluto, and you realize how strong you are, and deal with this mess once and for all, in a rather commanding way.
September 21st – to celebrate your survival of all that work you have done, you now have the support of a Grand Fire Trine. It’s brief but still impactful. The Moon will be at 17 degrees of Sagittarius, Venus at the same in Leo, and Chiron at 18 degrees of Aries, while retrograde. This is a major moment of healing your heart. You could learn something very important at this time that seems to be just what the doctor ordered to heal from a broken heart potentially. Whatever it is, there is a major opportunity that you don’t want to let pass you by.
September 23rd – The Fall Equinox has arrived, equal parts night and day. This also means that the Sun is in the sign of Libra, wishing you all a happy birthday month ahead. This marks the halfway point between the longest and shortest day of the year. A pause is needed to consider something you embarked upon during the Summer Solstice. Fall brings the harvest, and then the leaves will die away to be reborn in the Spring. The Moon, Chiron and Mars are forming a t-square. Your individual goals are not in alignment with what others want from you now. With the Moon in Capricorn it seems like the way out has something to do with a change at the top of the house. Could be a major change in government leadership at this time, that causes some kind of shift in your personal, or work relationships. Someone could be taking a big fall who is in a leadership role. But the change is a healing one with Chiron and Venus still speaking in harmony.
September 24th – Saturn ruler of Capricorn where the Moon was full of tension, is now inconjunct to the Sun. This is definitely some kind of weird ego check going on. There is so much going on energetically on this day, something major has to be happening. The Moon in Aquarius is trine the Sun, suggesting we might feel pretty logical about what is going on. But Chiron opposing Mars, says not everyone will agree, and may be fighting about it. Whatever this is Jupiter and Mercury are having a meeting of the minds to bring this to a positive resolution.
September 29th – Venus is squaring off with Uranus in retrograde, while both are at 22 degrees. This is the number of the master builder, meaning something is going to be torn down in order to be built back up the way it was meant to be. Challenges in love and money are possible. Do not try to make a big commitment on a day like today, or sign contracts. They will not turn out as expected. But if you like crazy love, then you are in the right place! Since this energy is part of the Full Moon in Aries, it is highly likely the endings that happen today are going to create some major fireworks. The Sun in Libra rules justice, fairness, balance and relationships. The Moon in Aries is what you need to feel emotionally secure about yourself, not about what others want from you, or for you. September 30th – the month concludes with everyone talking about the craziness from the full moon energy. Mercury and Uranus are connecting in a positive way, giving us some inventive solution to whatever the chaos is in our lives at the moment. Speech can be elevated, specifically AI. This is a great time for being inventive, and solving problems. Mercury is now clear of its shadow of the retrograde helping us move things forward more quickly.
October Preview – Pluto will end its retrograde in the sign of Capricorn on the 10th. Then believe it or not, it is eclipse season again already!! The New Moon Solar Eclipse happens at 21 degrees of Libra, while the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will be the last one in the sign of Taurus on October 28th. This concludes the work from the time the nodes were in Scorpio and Taurus prior to their shift this July into Aries and Libra. No coincidence of course it happens at the 5-degree mark which is where we saw both the Jupiter and Mercury retrogrades hit. This is the point where Jupiter will end its retrograde on December 30th, so pay attention closely to the things that happen when this point is activated in your chart. There is still much to see.
